Yeah....a nut flush is a pretty good hand, and more often than not its the best hand. So it really hurts when you're betting real big on it and you don't realize the other guy has a full house or he completes his full house by the river...and none of your betting scared him off.
I usually slow play my nut flushes unless I see potential trips on the board with face cards on the board...I've been burned too many times not betting enough and the other guy goes in with me and his trips turns into a full house by the river. I like to make it expensive for him to call me to get that full house....
It's pretty safe to slow play a nut flush if there isn't anything on the board but a straight.
